The IDE port will be useful for booting 2K and XP on AMD systems post AM4 chipset era. and the main reason was to be able to boot Windows 3.11 in the enhance mode on a Ryzen 3900x. I didn t use the IDE port at all, so I don't know if it is bootable - but I will try in the future. With this cheap adapter card things are smoother.
